As I scan through the blogs of fellow teachers, I am amazed at the work these teachers are sharing with their students. I wish I was in first grade again! My next goal is to learn how to make and share the things that I have made over the years (I want to make them cuter). I might have to pay my girls to help me with it, but it will be worth it. I am so happy that I have found this outlet, I really think things are going to go well here on my blog.
Happy Friday!
I'm glad you've joined Blogland. Do you mind my asking where in Miami, you teach? If you perfer to keep that private I understand. I spent some time there and am familiar with some schools. Just curious.

I actually teach in Homestead now at a brand new school, we are in our 2nd year. I transferred to be a part of the opening team and I have never looked back. Prior to being in Homestead, I taught at Oliver Hoover Elementary in Kendall. Did you get the chance to teach here when you were in Miami? I am just getting my feet wet with blogging, so hopefully I will be a pro after watching all of you post the amazing lessons that you post. Happy Thursday!
ReplyDeleteYes, I taught 1st grade at Shenandoah for 3 years and before I got my degree I worked at Henry Flagler for several years.

I use to hang out at Shenandoah Park all summer long. I was on the summer swim team in my teen years. That area has changed over the years, some of the students can be a challenge.
